Allison Kay McKinley's Obituary
Allison Kay McKinley was born June 15, 1959, to Oscar and Shirley Robison in
Encino, California. Allison passed away January 29, 2026, in Reno, Nevada.
Allison grew up in El Segundo, California and graduated from El Segundo High School. She married Michael McKinley in 1980 and lived in Hawthorne, Gardena and El Segundo, California before retiring to Minden, Nevada.
Allison worked at Hughes Aircraft, ran her own childcare business while her children were young, and returned to work selling Tupperware, and for the City of Lawndale before retiring.
Allison loved the time involved with her children’s activities while they were growing
up and cherished the adventures as they got older with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Allison is survived by her husband Michael McKinley, Son Jeffery McKinley, wife Denise and son Blake, Daughter Brittany Romano, husband George and her
grandchildren Logan and Sequoia.
She is also survived by Sisters Debbie (Dennis) Hulet, Leslie (Lance) Lunsway, Leah (Ron) Hawkins, Brothers Michael (Jane) Robison, John (Carolyn) Robison, Steve (Cynthia) Robison, Brother-in Law’s John McKinley, Terry (Patricia, deceased) (Karen) Martin, Sister-in-Law Susan (Tony) Arndt and many Nieces, Nephews, Grandnieces,
Grandnephews and many friends that enjoyed her lasting friendship.
She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Shirley Robison, Father and Mother-in-Law Edgar (Ed) and Pauline McKinley and Sister-in-Law Patricia Martin.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday February 14, 2026, 11:30am at
Trinity Lutheran Church
1480 Douglas Ave.
Gardnerville, Nevada
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Memory of Allison to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
