safe and welcoming. His role was more than just a job—it was an extension of his deep-rooted desire to serve others.
Eric was truly a man of many talents and trades. But perhaps what made him most memorable was his embodiment of the Christmas spirit year-round. With his white beard and warm smile, he bore an uncanny resemblance to Santa Claus—a likeness he embraced wholeheartedly. Dressing up as Santa brought him immense joy, especially when it meant delighting children and spreading cheer among family and friends. To his grandchildren—and many others—he wasn’t just like Santa; he was Santa.
He found great joy in bringing happiness to those around him during the holidays and beyond. His nieces and nephews, grandchildren Kaitlyn, Matthew, and Bailey, great-grandson Garrison—and two more great-grandchildren soon to arrive—were among those who cherished these magical moments with him. His daughter Wendy was one of the greatest joys in his life and held a central place in his heart.
Eric is also survived by his siblings: Rita, Eldon, Estelle, Edwina, Ronnie, and Roland. Each shared in the bond of family that remained strong throughout their lives.
A private ceremony for immediate family will be held at the Northern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date to honor Eric’s memory with all who loved him.
