Marie Anne LaManna's Obituary
Marie Anne LaManna, 69, passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2026, in a tragic hit-and-run accident. She died instantly, and for that, her family finds some peace.
Marie was born on June 2, 1956, in Prince Edward Island, Canada, and later grew up in New York City after being adopted at the age of nine into a loving Italian family. Her birth last name was Biso, a part of her story she carried with her throughout her life.
She was a woman of deep conviction, strong morals, and an unshakable will. When Marie believed something was right, she stood firmly in it, and more often than not, she was right. She spent her life fighting to do right by others and by herself. Even in her hardest moments, she never lost her strength or her sense of purpose.
Raised Catholic, Marie later grew into a deeply spiritual person. She found connection in nature and embraced Native American beliefs, feeling a strong bond with the earth and the world around her.
Marie had a joyful, goofy spirit and a natural ability to make people laugh. If she could bring a smile to someone’s face, it made her day. She carried a lifetime of experiences, wisdom, and resilience. Her voice was soothing, and her presence brought comfort. She embodied the true meaning of a mother’s touch.
Her greatest pride and most cherished accomplishments were her children: Christopher, Jacqueline, Justin, and Kendra. She was also married twice, first to Joe Harper and later to Jeff Postal.
Marie always reminded her family, “Family is everything. Stay together and don’t lose that.” Those words will continue to guide the ones she leaves behind.
If one word could describe her, it would be unbreakable.
A service will be held on May 1st at 12:00 PM at Eastside Memorial.
