Martin Wayne Pomeroy's Obituary
Martin Wayne Pomeroy passed away January 10, 2026 in Reno, Nevada. He was born on August 28, 1957, in Casper, Wyoming, to Melvin and Evelyn Pomeroy.
After deciding that high school was not the right path for him, Martin attended welding school in Casper, Wyoming. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Craig, Colorado, where his parents were living. He worked for Tri-State Power for several years before starting his own business, Martin's Welding. In later years, he moved to California, and in 1988 he made his home in TRE, Nevada.
It was in TRE that Martin met Elizabeth Stone. Together, they raised their sons, Jeremy Bradley and Jason Pomeroy. Martin loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. He also loved any gathering where he could fire up the barbeque and spend some time with family and friends.
Martin is survived by his partner Elizabeth Sloan; his son Jeremy (Bailey) Bradley and grandchildren Sophia and Ella; his son Jason (Kalynn Boyce) Pomeroy and grandchildren Barrett and Henry; his mother, Evelyn Pomeroy of Craig, Colorado; his sisters Karen Jewett of Trion, Georgia, Julie (Mark) Snyder of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Audrey (Brent) Slobe of Carson City, Nevada; and his sister-in-law Carol Pomeroy of TRE, Nevada. He is also survived by his nephews Joe Ray, Kenny, Joel, and Logan, his niece Kelsie, and many grand nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Pomeroy; his brother, Jack Pomeroy, and his nephew, Keith.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 17, 2026, at Eastside Memorial Park, 1600 Buckeye Road, Minden, NV 89423.
