He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 25, 1930. The family moved to Sharpsville, Pennsylvania, while he was still a child. As an adult, he drove commercial trucks for 20 years before relocating again, this time to Anchorage, Alaska, in 1969.

A man of many talents, his interests included woodworking, remodeling, and spending time with his extended family—especially his many grandchildren.
He lived a long and full life and will be missed by the many people who loved him dearly.
Rest in peace.
