Ronald Churchman of Gardnerville, NV, passed away and returned to his heavenly Father on July 01, 2026. He was born in Hutchinson, Kansas, and moved with his family to Concord, CA. He graduated from Mount Diablo High School and then from Diablo Valley College with an associate’s degree.
Throughout his career, he held a variety of positions at Walnut Creek School District, Ouimet Bros. Funeral Home, and Sierra Pacific Touring, among others, before retiring in 2013. Ron is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Shirley Churchman (Jarvis); his parents, Robert Orille and Mary Catherine Churchman; and his brothers, Bill, Virgil, Michael, and James Churchman. He is survived by his two children, Robert Wayne Churchman (Holly) of San Diego, CA, and Yvonne Haefele (Mark) of Orange, CA. He leaves behind eight wonderful grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many friends.
Ron will be buried next to his wife, Shirley, at Colfax Cemetery in Colfax, CA. A memorial service will take place later.
